The North of Scotland Hydrogen Programme A Testament to Leadership in Innovation and Collaboration Driving Sustainable Development

Utility company ScottishPower and #carbon-capture specialist Storegga have just announced plans to develop a green #hydrogen project in #Scotland’s Cromarty Firth region and it's a great example of #sustainability partnership in action.
 
Amongst the local Cromarty-based beneficiaries of the #greenhydrogen produced will be brands like Diageo, The Glenmorangie Company, and Whyte & Mackay, all which have facilities in the area which require energy for their heating (distillery) manufacturing process and who have -- along with the government -- looked to support the Scottish Power - Storegga venture given their #sustainabledevelopment plans.
 
This said, the North of #Scotland Hydrogen Programme was established to create and develop a hub that would produce, store and distribute green hydrogen at scale for not only local surrounds in Scotland but also other parts of the #UK and, too, across #Europe.
 
Early days, though promising days and a testament to #leadership in #innovation and #collaboration, together, driving sustainability transformation.
