The Estée Lauder Companies Establishes Equity and Engagement Centre of Excellence

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (The ELC) brands include not only eponymous Estée Lauder but also Aveda, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Jo Malone London and MAC Cosmetics, just to name a few. All beauty brands, par excellence, and all often in the media with new product launches.

Exciting as these events may be, they have been trumped by a long margin over the last 24 hours by a great thing of beauty of a different sort: The ELC has announced the launch of its Equity and Engagement Centre of Excellence (CoE).

The establishment of the CoE represents the clear intent of CEO Fabrizio Freda to weave into tapestry of the organisation #diversity, #equity and #inclusion; 'walking the talk,' and delivering on promises. The impressive Nicole Monson has been appointed as SVP, Equity and Engagement, to lead the CoE.

By building a diverse talent pool, The ELC is building a far more fitting and representative reflection of the cross-section of consumers it holds dear across the globe. It also, with the richness of talent, stands a very good chance of enhancing performance.

#diversityequityandinclusion can be viewed as a ‘nice to have’ or seen as a ‘must’, and a competitive advantage.
